My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. This sums up the way I see life and how I also want to live and work with others. Life is an amazing journey full of ups and downs, but it is the resilience and drive that moves me forward. I look for opportunities to thrive, grow and make a difference in the people I work with and enjoy the path I am on.
I am blessed to be a wife to Ron and have three wonderful children. The blessings extended when I was gifted with three grandchildren to love and spoil. I am a graduate of Lincoln Christian University with a B.A. in Human Services and soon to be a graduate of Liberty University with my M.A. in Counseling/Life Coaching. I moved to the Austin area in 2013 and made the area my home. I have over twenty years’ experience working with clients in the jail and prison system and counseling in drug and alcohol issues. I also have experience in group and family counseling and one-on-one cognitive behavioral therapy.
I was certified through Fowler International Academy as a Certified Community Coach and later received my Certification in Professional Coaching, became a Master Professional Coach and a Certified Disaster Recovery Coach. I started Lone Star Life Coaching as a private practice and later grew into Rector Professional Coaching with the addition of my son, Jon Rector, joining the practice.
